THE CASPIAN SEA IN GLOBAL WORLD POLITICS: PETER I'S LEGACY AND MODERNITY
Offline
Meeting of the Interuniversity Expert and Analytical Center "Caspian International Discussion Club".

The year 2022 marks the 350th anniversary of the birth of the first Russian emperor, the reformer tsar Peter Alekseevich Romanov. He is regarded by many as a great historical figure. Greatness is measured by the measure of his deeds. And although not all of them cause an unambiguous positive assessment, the topic of scientific research on the history of this period will always be of increased interest, since this topic concerns the origins of Russia's imperial tradition, the process of its becoming one of the great world powers. Within the framework of the Caspian International Discussion Club, the organizers propose to discuss the following problematic blocks:

1) The historical and geopolitical mission of Tsar Peter I;

2) Peter I's Imperial Legacy: Traditions and Modernity;

3) The Caspian direction in global world politics: from Peter I to the present.
